How to give a gift short notice when you can't get to a shop have no time to make something and or the budget is nothing.
Time you give the gift of time ... so how to does that work?
Maybe set a date every month to catch up online on phone or in person
Schedule yourself into their calendar for a nightly walk, a Sunday drive, a monthly breakfast, or to take care of the kids, giving them some hours, minutes, or a full day of personal time.
-fix the items you have said you would do
-make their favorite meals for tea or work lunches
Place 4 pieces of pumpkin in a casserole/baking dish. Roll 1 pound(453.59grams) of mince into balls and place these also in the dish. Pour over 1 large cup or tomato pulp or tomato soup, if necessary
Cover with a layer of grated cheese.
Then cover the dish and bake slowly for 2 hours.

-Perhaps go traditional by taking out pen and paper to write them a letter.
